The Mickleton Society

The Mickleton Society

If you’re new to the village and wondering how to get to know people, the Mickleton Society is a friendly place to start.

Formed in 1972 to stimulate interest in the village, protect it’s historical features and promote high standards of planning and architecture, we have over 100 members and we monitor developments in the village and keep a line of communication with the Parish and District Councils. There is always time at meetings to raise any issues of concern to residents.

From September through to May, we organise a monthly programme of meetings with speakers on a wide range of varied and interesting topics including, whenever possible, those that have real local focus or connection. We meet at the Three Ways House Hotel at 7pm for 7.30pm for a cup of tea or coffee (or something stronger from the bar) before the meeting starts.

Our programme for the forthcoming season is:

Wednesday, 3 September – "Glos. Archive Local Green Pledge Project" – Marion Hill
Wednesday 1 October – "Edith Cavell" - Mike Bottomley
Wednesday 5 November - "Life in Mickleton" – Lynden Stowe
