Mickleton Community Archive

Mickleton Community Archive Project (www.mickletoncommunityarchive.org.uk)

This project, which has been supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund, is run by the Mickleton Community Archive Group who collect and record oral, photographic and written heritage information from community sources. Existing sources held by individuals and community groups have been catalogued and digitally recorded, thus preserving them for future generations.

This fascinating archive of information has been transformed into a website and booklet so that the catalogued archive of historical photographs and stories can be easily explored by anyone with an interest in the history of Mickleton.

Of course, history does not stand still and todays images and stories are tomorrow's history, so the project welcomes volunteers to help with all aspects of the archive, in particular recording the memories of residents and the collection and writing of stories about the characters and events of the past.
