Greening Mickleton

Over 2019-2020 a group of like-minded Mickleton villagers came together to discuss ways of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and the care of Mickleton’s environment.

A summer 2020 survey was undertaken to gather Mickleton residents' views and results were shared in the October 2020 Parish Magazine.  You can read the report by clicking on the following link:

We have been pursuing some of the main issues that concerned villagers since such as transport safety, speed and pollution, energy, and rewilding and in January 2021 a Zoom meeting was organised by the Parish Council, when a joint initiative with Greening Mickleton was agreed under a Climate Emergency banner.  This covers a small number of climate improvement projects where Greening Mickleton are contributing to teams looking at safety of walking and cycling, rewilding, tree planting and energy projects.
